Handspun, handwoven Kala Cotton from Kutch, cut and sewn in our Guelph studio.
Kala Cotton (Gossypium herbaceum) is a rain-fed heirloom cotton grown in the arid Kutch region of Gujarat. Short-stapled and spun close to the plant, it makes a cloth with quiet body that settles and softens with each wash.
Designed for everyday meals, casual hosting, and thoughtful gifting. Sold individually, so you can build a set slowly or mix naturally. Small enough to be practical on the table or in a lunchbox, substantial enough to read as considered. Finished by hand with a double-fold hem that stands up to everyday use and wash.
Handwoven in Shinay Vishal’s studio in Kutch, Gujarat, India. Cut and sewn in our studio in Guelph, Ontario.

Cold water, mild detergent, Gentle cycle. Air drying extends life. Low heat tumble dry if needed. No bleach. No softener.
