fibre terroir

Rainfall alone grows this cotton. In the saline drylands at the edge of the Rann of Kutch, Kala Cotton survives on the monsoon. No irrigation, no chemical inputs - an heirloom fibre farmed this way for generations. A short staple that industrial mills reject and only human hands can work. Handwoven twills and stripes, cut and sewn in Guelph: towels, pillows, table linens, and goods for the bread drawer.
